    Visual Studio 2008 .exe?

I'm going to ask this here, and on the VS forums once i find one.

But can someone tell me, step by step, how to make an .exe file in VS2008 that will run on someone elses PC?

Heres the code if your interested:

Tried 2 people, and theyve both had .net 3.5 (which i had created that .cpp and stuff in) and also VC++2005 redistributable .

But ya, a walk through would be exceptionally helpful

Check your project properties and be sure you are creating a relese build.

The default is a debug build and since that other PC ain't yours it probably lacks the project files needed to support the debugger.

Go to your Project Properties. At the top is a button for the Configuration Manager. Go there and verify the configuration is Release. Most likely, it is Debug, which is the default.

After you change it to release, rebuild the project and off you go.
