The problem is that teaching code tends not to be run ina production
environment. It's quite common to have bugs, and you can generally find
something wrong if you look hard enough. It doesn't really have that much
effect on the value of the book, which is text and implementation showing
how things are to be done.
People made plenty of bug reports for Basic Algorithms as well. Some turned
out to be false on further examination, but not all by any means.
