For learning C++? The one you're on now is pretty good, as well as
the google groups view of comp.lang.c++.m oderated. Another is the
online version of the C++ FAQs at http://www.parashift.com/c++-faq-lite/.

          Of course it is.

I don't know, but www.webEbenezer.net was the first to offer
            on line C++ code generation.

You have a point: my newsreader tells me that the OP posted through Google
groups. However, I doubt that the word "This" in Default Users post refers
to the C++ page of Google groups. More likely, it refers to the C++ news
group, which indeed is not a web site but a usenet group.

Yes, I was referring to groups.google.c om, not the Usenet group.

So? comp.lang.c, where the message was posted, is NOT a web site. The
fact that a particular news service has a web portal with access to the
group (as do a number of others, all with different URLs) changes that
                  not in the slightest.

This is not a web site.

                    [snip]

And nobody in this thread claimed it was. The claim that triggered your
                    criticism was this:

addressed to the OPs question about a good website for C++:
For learning C++? The one you're on now is pretty good,
The OP posted through Google groups [this is what my newsreader tells me]
and clearly was on a web-site. That web-site was claimed to be a good place
for C++. That this web-site happens to be an interface to comp.lang.c++
does not change the fact that the OP was on a web-site and that one can
recommend that web-site for learning C++.

Try the books Thinking in C++ Vol 1 & 2 (They have nothing to do with
                      linux so don't be afraid)
