adding a CheckMenuItem in a Menu using gtkmm

Hi,
I im creating GUI in c++ using gtkmm (OS - ubuntu).
I want to add a CheckMenuItem in a menubar.I dont know how to add this.please tell me, how to add this.if possible please send me the coding.
