Once starting a service using WMI, how can I modify it?

I'm trying to start the MSFTPSVC, and I need to add a user/password. This has to be Windows 7 friendly. Starting the service is the easy part, but I'm having difficulty locating in the ServiceControll er.Execute custom command method how I can add/delete a username and password.

I believe the windows FTP program uses the users on your computer and the rights management associated with them to handle the FTP users

OK. Drop the idea of adding them through a service and just add a user. Duh. Monday morning <grumble>. Thank you very much.

I could very well be wrong. We never got ours to work correctly and ended up just creating a linux box to be the ftp server

We fire off MSFTPSVC right now using net start and add temporary users with net user and then clients log in on site. I created a method to add user/password on a WinXP/Win7 machine. I'll have to test this and follow up sharing my results. You steered me in the right direction. I must laugh at myself for how far off I was in my approach...to be continued.

Yes - simply needed to add local user accounts using a domain. Done!
