I strongly reccomend you have a deeper look around the visual studio interface before you ask a question hun, if you check out the tool bar after creating a new Windows Forms application, under the Data category there is a chart control specifically designed to meet your requirements.
To note for further reference, it is very good that you ask as the only daft question is the one not asked. Visual Studio has many solutions to the basic problems, so always remember to do a rummage, and if in doubt always feel free to pop in here and ask.
i gave quite a good look at the vast selection in the toolbox (data Category) ...is the name of the object Chart control? because i didn't find it in the toolbox!!! thank you a lot for your previous help :-)

Ok it should have it then even if it's not listed, to check to make sure it is, right click on the controls toolbox, select 'choose...', then have a search through the lists. It's name is 'charts' under the namespace 'System.Windows .Forms.DataVisu alization.Chart ing'.
If you want to use Silverlight, look into Visifire. They're an excellent free charting component that I've used in several of my projects. Also, the Silverlight Toolkit contains their own chart controls now.
If not, check out Aimee's solution. It's a good one.
