    RE: sql query to delimited string

    Hi Bill,

    Thank you for using Microsoft Managed Newsgroup Support Service, my name is
    Zhi-Xin Ye and I'm assigned to help you with this issue.

    You can use the SqlDataReader object, and copy all the records from it to
    an array.

    Code sample for your information:

    string connstr = "Persist Security Info=False;Inte grated
    Security=SSPI;I nitial Catalog=Northwi nd;server=local host";
    string sql = "SELECT CompanyName From Customers";

    SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(c onnstr);
    SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand();
    cmd.Connection = conn;
    cmd.CommandText = sql;

    SqlDataReader dr = cmd.ExecuteRead er();

    List<stringrecd s = new List<string>();
    while (dr.Read())
    {
    recds.Add((stri ng)dr[0]);
    }

    Should you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

    Sincerely,
    Zhi-Xin Ye
