OFF-Topic: Running Visual Studio 2008 on a Mac

    Guys,

I am sorry for the off topic, but I am thinking on buying a new laptop and
the new Macbook seems a very decent option - it's a nice machine, has 2.4GHz
Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM, etc.

Since you guys probably have the same profile as I do - running SQL Server,
IIS, VS and all the good stuff - I though it was a good idea to ask you guys
that, because in the end it is just another computer :).

Is there anyone successfuly using a Macbook to run C# development on it?

    Thanks,

I'm using a year-old MacBook Pro. Based on the current MacBoox specs you
list, you should be fine, modulo the various hassles involved in using a
Mac in a Windows world (if all you ever use is Boot Camp, then your
MacBook would work pretty much like any other Windows laptop, except for
    the relatively low battery life).

I'm not entirely convinced it's been worth the trouble for me; but I have
to admit, I at least like being able to see "how the other half lives".
Using a Mac has significantly reduced whatever anxiety I used to have with
respect to people who claim that Windows is so much worse than the Mac.
Turns out, just as I suspected, it's not. :)

    But yes...it should work.

I'm on an iMac with a similar specification. I actually forget I am on a
      Mac :-)
