asking about dropdown list in my asp web page............?

I have 2 dropdownlist(DD L) 1st is state next one is city.
And one gridview, it contains button to edit the selected row
in corresponding fields in the form(page),duri ng the edit time my DDL contains twice the same state name........... .?

You're probably duplicating it somewhere in your code. Without seeing your code that populates the drop down list, we can't say what the cause actually is.
