Posting swedish characters asp to aspx

Hi,

Problem: I have problem getting swedish characters right.

This is the scenario:

A lot of asp pages working since years, with no problem.

One of them is an asp form which posts text fields to an aspx page. This aspx is my first aspx ever. It does everything I want, except from one very very important thing. It does not understand swedish national characters.



Problem example:
----------------
I enter a swedish word into the asp text field, like 'hjälp', then i press the button.
In the aspx file the result is: 'hj?lp'.
Instead of getting an ä (ä) there is a question mark.


I have tried page LCID="1053" plus a numerous of other things, with no luck.


This is probably about basic knowledge, so in the first place I have spent some time searching the Internet....wit h no luck.

What's missing?


I simply need a concrete piece of code, rather than a theoretical explanation or tons of questions.
