You can use Google Site Search for a minimal fee.

It's actually pretty cool. It lest you customize the search results page to advertise your own events etc.

You could try using the Google Search API

            • In the solutions pane, right click on the name of the project and select Properties
            • In the properties window go to the References tab
            • Click the "Add..." button and browse to the .dll file that you want to include in your project
            • On any page that uses this feature be sure to import/using the api

You don't have a DLL to add to your project?
                What do you have then?
Have you referred to the documentation on how to use it?

Google Search API are you using so that I can help you understand the documentation?

                        Apparently it uses JavaScript.
Have you seen the Developer's Guide to Google's Search API?

There are code examples there on how to use it.

The first step you should do is add a script link too the Google API.

Look over the instructions in the developer's guide...
