WebParts controls in asp.net

Sir,
I am new to ASP.NET. So I am not able to understand the proper utilization and functioning of WebPart controls in ASP.NET. How do we write for these controls.
The controls are as follows:
WebPartManager, ProxyWebPartMan ager, WebPartZone, CatalogZone, DeclarativeCata logPart, PageCatalogPart , ImportCatalogPa rt, EditorZone, AppearanceEdito rPart, BehaviorEditorP art, LayoutEditorpar t, PropertyGridEdi torPart, ConnectionsZone ,

Cool, I've never used web parts before so I looked them up to see if I could give you a hand and I was impressed :)
