    hundreds of machine.config warnings

    hi, i'm using asp.net 3.5 framwork with c# and am altering my web.config ton changin the default providers for my membership (pain in the *** by the way). but once loaded into the visual studio IDE i see about 60-70 warnings that start at the crytography elements (and move down so an error will affect settings further down the file). the errors describe things such as expected elements in a statement such as "descriptio n attribute is not declared" or "keycontrainern ame attribute is not declared" the actual setting in the file looks like this. (as you can see description and keycontainernam e etc... are all enclosed by quotaiton marks " "). but further above the configprotected data elements there are statements in the same format i.e. the entire statement is enclosed by " " marks. is this messing up the 3.5 application or not a problem at all? do i need to change the machine.config? by the way i have made no changes to the file. thanks for any help

    Code:
    <configProtectedData defaultProvider="RsaProtectedConfigurationProvider">
    		<providers>
    			<add name="RsaProtectedConfigurationProvider" type="System.Configuration.RsaProtectedConfigurationProvider,System.Configuration, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" description="Uses RsaCryptoServiceProvider to encrypt and decrypt" keyContainerName="NetFrameworkConfigurationKey" cspProviderName="" useMachineContainer="true" useOAEP="false"/>
    			<add name="DataProtectionConfigurationProvider" type="System.Configuration.DpapiProtectedConfigurationProvider,System.Configuration, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" description="Uses CryptProtectData and CryptUnProtectData Windows APIs to encrypt and decrypt" useMachineProtection="true" keyEntropy=""/>
    		</providers>
    	</configProtectedData>
    the element above this section does not come up as an error but is in the same format. ps. shoud configprotected data appear inside the configsections tags (it isn't at the minute)

    Code:
    			<section name="net.tcp" type="System.ServiceModel.Activation.Configuration.NetTcpSection, System.ServiceModel, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/>
