    Redirect url website

    Hi,

I wanted to redirect all requests to my website to a maintenance page for a
duration of 3 hours. It is any requests coming to www.abc.com or
www.abc.com/index.aspx or www.abc.com/book/index.aspx........ or any requests
for directories / subdomains / pages under www.abc.com to be redirected to
outage.aspx. This outage.aspx is in teh local computer. How do i specify
wildcards? How do i configure the settings in IIS6.0. Pls let me know.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Redirect url website

i don't know if it would work, but you may try placing a server.transfer to
    the new url in the global.asax / Session_OnStart .
if this idea doesn't work, and you use msterpages, you can place it there
    too.. might work...

In IIS, if you have a router, you must enable the port 80 and redirect it to
    the server machine.
Enable the IIS there, and set the firewall up to accept incoming requests.

Checkou app_offline.htm option, You might want to use that instead of
      outage.aspx
Plus it will work on any hoster. Not many of them will let you configure IIS
      :)
