how to update changes in dll in asp.net

hi,
i am new to asp.net. we developed one web application and
deployed it to client. its been working fine. but i need to make
changes in the application (small changes in the class file). how can
i update changes in the dll without affecting running
application.can it be done?or i have to uninstall application and
reinstal it with updated build setup?plz help me to find out a solution

You can just replace the changed dll, but this will trigger a restart
on the site. The application will be back up very quickly, but all
sessions have been cleared.
