i want to develop an application which can enable video communication between two remote systems over a network. can any one please suggest me which programming language would be suitable for that?

c# using the direct x sdk for the reason that direct x is based off of video communications. Which is the same thing that skype does. c# is a learning curve as is everything else -
Thanks Chad, i actually want that webcam to be a mobile webcam ie: to be installed either on safety helmet, or on eye-safety glasses. Is it a concern..??
Also can you please suggest me a good SDK-IDE, that could help me in application development.mor eover, i haven't developed any application in c# till now, just want to carry it forward with my JAVA,C/C++ skills would it be of any use?Comment
