Error: class does not support automation or does not support expected interface

I've been using my access program all day and my co-worker is using it currently with no issues. I keep getting the error "class does not support automation or does not support expected interface". Can someone help?! It's an extremely busy time of year and I need this tool to complete my work. Thanks!

Is this error happing in code? If so, do you know what line and can you supply the code that is erroring out?

This error can occur when moving to a newer or different version of Office or Windows. Has either of them been updated recently?

You have to forgive me as I'm not that familiar with Access. There is no 'Debug' prompt that appears and this database has been in use for years with no issues so I don't think its a coding error.

I updated to Access 2010 months ago but I've had no issues until yesterday and Excel has not been updated.

Just to give you a little more information the error occurs when the Access program tries to send the results produced to an Excel spreadsheet. This is working fine on a co-workers computer but mine will not let me view the results in Excel (and I'm not sure how to view them any other way). The Access program is very intricate and was designed by someone who no longer works for my company.

I fixed this error! I just had to delete the .exd files from my C drive. I'm now getting a -1517 reserved error but only for one of the four Excel templates that we use. The other 3 are working just fine. This new error is happening across all computers (not just mine) and began before I fixed the error only occurring on my computer.
