Oracle ODBC driver not able to load all oracle tables in Microsoft access 2007

Hi,

Oracle ODBC driver is not able load all the oracle tables in MS access 2007.

We are not able to view some of the tables. we have provided all access from oracle side. Please let us know if any settings we need to change in MS access or registry?

Have you refreshed the links? You can do that either by deleting them and linking them again, or by right-clicking on a table link and going to the linked table manager to refresh the links.

Is this a new install or a change to what was previously working?

Hi,

Below are the steps,

Open Microsoft access 2007->Go to external data->import ODBC database->it will ask for database usercredentials-> After providing that it will load all the tables from database to ms access.

Here we are not able to see some of the tables.

We have given select any privlage to the user in database.



What will be the reason?

I am newly loading the tables. i tried in different machine. but still same problem.

1) Most likely you have not set the user rights correctly and/or the reference to the table schema isn't right. If the tables belong to another user, the the user that is loging in via access may not be able to link to them.

-- You will have to be very specfic as to how you provided the user credential.

-- You need use SQL*Plus to atleast check that from the oracle side you have the credential set correctly.

2) You need to ensure that the correct vestion of the ODBC driver is installed. Older versions of the driver will not work well with the newer versions of Oracle.

What version of Oracle are you using?
