How to stop disarrangement of records in ms access subforms.

    I have a form with a sub-form in Ms Access 2010
The sub-form is in tabular view which shows records and their dates on entry including Payment Cycle.

The issue is sometimes when data is entered in the sub-form and the form is closed and opened again or refreshed, the records are disarranged.

So for example if data is entered in this manner

    Payment Cycle
    Date
    1
    1/2/2014
    2
    1/3/2014
    3
    1/5/2014
    4
    1/6/2014

When form is closed and open again or refreshed, the Records change and are arranged in this manner

    Payment Cycle
    Date
    4
    1/6/2014
    1
    1/2/2014
    3
    1/5/2014
    2
    1/3/2014

Please can some help me solve this issue? It is urgent!

I want the records in the sub-form to follow the sequence of when they were entered.

    yashuaking,
Have you supplied sorting criteria in the query that is the subform's record source? Or, alternatively, in the Data properties of the sub-form you could fill in the Order By property.

Are you saying you have done that and it doesn't always work?

The Sub-Form is not based on query neither did I set the Data property on the sub form by filling in the Order By Property. I would do this to get the Result. Thank you very much. You have saved my day.

You're very welcome, glad to help. You'll be surprised how much Access can help you when you observe all the little hints that are presented in the properties dialog.
