(School_ID char(3), Fac_LastName char(15), Fac_FirstName char(15), Fac_DOB char(15), Fac_SSN char(15), Fac_Address char(15), Fac_City char(15), Fac_State char(2), Fac_Zip char(5), Fac_salary decimal (8,2));;

The error seems to be int he Face_salary decimal )8,2)); but I have replaced decimal with number, salary, etc... and same error returns

VERY Carefully review what you have posted here, there are several potential typos... such as ";;" at the end of the script.

Is this via VBA or other method?

You also need to let us know which version of Access/Office you are using as there are differences in how the SQL is handled.
