When moving a column how do you keep it from going back to the orginial position next

When I move a column in Access it works but when I reopen the database it is back where it started. How do I get it to stay where I want it permanently?

Upon exiting, you should be prompted to Save the new layout, select Yes. This new positioning will then be maintained.

It's generally a good idea to move columns in Design View. Doing so in Data View can be confusing and hard to trace back when you want to move columns again in Design View.
