filtering report for printing certain labels

I can make a report from the database and create labels from that. How can I filter out those I do not wish to print?
I have read all the helps online but cannot understand the words. Can someone write it clearly in steps without words like 'parameter'. I am an intelligent, computer literate 85 yr old!

Trying to explain how to do this without using the jargon is going to be very difficult indeed because the jargon is by its nature the language of the database. Therefore, please forgive me, I really must direct you to one of the tutorial sites: MS Access 2010 Tutorials (this is the table of contents page scroll down a tad)

You are most likely needing this page queries in access
so that you can start pulling the information that you need out of your database. Once you understand how a query is done then you can move on to the report.

I really suggest working from the first section thru to the last so that you understand what the author is talking about at each step in the tutorial/project. What I like about this tutorial is the "lab" approach... perhaps that's the Chemist in me? Often the students would be glazed-n-dazed in the lecture class and things would actually make sense in the practical-lab and this how this tutorial works.

Honestly, I don't think you'll have to progress very far in the tutorial before things start to make sense. (^-^)

Once you have the basics down, if you are still having specfic issues, please post back.
