recover deleted records in MS access database

I entered around 45000 records in a database. The database designed in MS access 2003. I deleted records most of them but accidentally I want to retrieve those records. Please guide me how to recover deleted records.Your cooperation in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Thanking You

Access does not provide any way of retrieving deleted records. Once they are gone, your only hope of recovery is to use a backup of the database taken recently enough to have a copy of all the deleted records, or to recover a previous version of the database (if your operating system is set to provide this).

Stewart is correct in that generally, once deleted in MSA, that's it; however, if you are using 2010 (and sometimes the earlier versions) there may be hope provided some VERY SPECIFIC conditions are met:
How to: Recover Tables Deleted from a Database - Office 2010 This still may not recover your data; however, worth a shot.

(for the older versions: Recover Tables Deleted from a Database - Access 97 - once again, very strict conditions.)

I suspect however, given the age of the thread, that this information may be too late to help you - but it just may help the next person.

      - I can not stress enough that one should never work on the production (in-use) version of the database - always a copy!

      - I can not stress enough the need to have backup copies of the database. In fact, when I split the database to front/backend, the front end has code to periodically create a backup copy of the backend datafile --- and when deleting/updateing huge record counts (100+), the code first creates a backup - something to keep in mind.

I'm going to make a call that this is acceptable, even though it could possibly be treated as spam.

It would be preferable if the related article were hosted on Bytes.com but nevertheless it is valuable information.

It includes a free utility but also explains the steps to take manually to get the same result.
