Printing issues in Access with subreports and tiny printing

Hi, I'm having trouble printing access reports.

I have several reports setup with letter templates on them.
I also have a subreport on each with a letter head (company logo and address details).

Certain reports print normally all correctly formatted and looking dandy...yet others print just the logo from the letter head in the correct position (at lower quality) with the address details (from the same subreport) together with the letter body at 1/12th normal size!

I have considered the option that it has something to do with selecting a specific tray as I am asking it to take from a particular tray on the multifunction copier but I just cannot pinpoint what is actually causing the problem!

I've tried to explain the best I can but if I have missed some detail please contact me

Hard to investigate without the reports, but I did experience in the past that Access uses the properties of the default printer when creating the report. When you have different printers as a default when creating the reports this might be the cause.

Perhaps creating the report again by making a new empty one and using copy/paste might solve this (assuming the correct default printer is installed).

      Hi! Thanks for the response.

You are right, the reports were made on a computer with a different default printer to the one being used in reality.

I have since tried printing on a Lexmark Laser printer (unsure of model number) and all reports printed fine.

The printer I need to use however is a Xerox 5745 photocopier. This supports USB printing but you have to choose a driver. I have Generic PPD, PCL, PCL6 or PS to choose from. Could using a specific one of these solve the problem?

Another question...in the printer preferences I have selected Tray 1 to be used for all prints without duplexing, this works.
Whenever a report over 1 page in length is printed it takes from either High Capacity tray 3/4 and turns Duplex on even though the default is Tray 1 Duplex off. Again, is this a driver issue ?!?!

      I am at a loss!

        Hi Hammie1911,

Glad the advise did work, but for the additional Q it's best to create a new question. This improves the visibility of your Q for the other experts.

I've had no experience with tray selection going wrong (I never used trays), so I hope an other expert can help you.
