    How to insert up and down arrows in label

    I'm trying to insert up and down arrows at the end of my label's caption to tell me the sort order of a field. My problem is that I can't figure out for sure what charcode I need to insert the characters. I found a list of ASCII characters on the MSDN website and 30 and 31 are exactly what I'm looking for. However, when I try to concatenate those characters to my caption, nothing changes. Here is what I'm trying just for test purposes:
    Code:
    Me.Label35.Caption = "Text34" & Chr(30)

    I'm not sure where you're getting your ascii values but 30 and 31 are not up and down arrows.

      Here is the website: ASCII Character Codes Chart 1. The symbols for 30 & 31 are what I'm wanting. I could be misinterpreting what those symbols are meaning.

        That is what you will see in an MS-DOS application, not in Access.

          Oh. Is there a list of the possible Access charcodes or is there another way to get an up and down arrow on the end of my string? It could be the reverse of the exponent sign (shift + 6), a true arrow, etc. Anything that would point up and down.

            I suppose you could use the caret, the shift+6 for up. And a v for down. Or you could put an image next to the label and change that.

              I could do that. I hadn't thought of using an image. I can just make it invisible when it isn't being used in the sort and then just change the picture for if the sort is ascending or descending. Thanks Rabbit.
