Access adds a Date to the times in my field - how to remove date?

After importing a column of times into Access from Excel, Access adds a date from the year 1899 into each record.
So now, my time of 18:05 looks like this:

12/30/1899 6:05:00 PM

How can I remove the date and change the display of 06:05:00 PM back to military time "18:05"?

This is so very similar to the other question Anne. The only difference between #12:30/18999 6:05:00 PM# and #18:05# is the format. The value is exactly the same.

Just as 1001.5 can be displayed as £1,001.50 in UK and $1,001.50 in USA and even simply 1001.5. The value is the same for all. The only difference is the format property used.
