Formula for Access

Hello there,

I am having a slight issue with a formula input for Access. our teacher gave us this formula to put in for a specific step and i keep getting the error code 2048. Can someone please explain what i am possibly doing wrong? Thanks. Here is the formula we were asked to put in under an IIf Function.

Bonus: Sum(IIf([SalePrice]>=20000,"$250 ,0))

Normally, we do not answer homework questions unless they are of the Rubik’s Cube variety....

However, I'll make this one exception and give you a hint due to the fact I hate Gremlins... and you have one named the "Double Quote" in your formula. The error message you received should have put you in the right direction... try it again and very carefully read the error description along with my hint... it'll be a head-against-the-wall moment when you figure it out - I promise! It's that easy!

Really... I'm not trying to be mean... just take a look at your formula along with the hint and the error message detail... don't over-think it.

A "double quote" is a character that is used to delineate literal string values in VBA. In fact, as Z says, they are the characters around the words near the start of my first sentence. A "single quote" character (') is used for literal string values in SQL.
