Form to Table data saving

I have a form that I created and added a field called Towing Company. I changed the control source to that field in the table but it is showing the ID number for the company and not the company name. How do I get it to show the company Name instead. I am a new user so please be specific.

What type of control did you add to the form? A combo box or text box? I'm guessing that you have a table for your towing companies. What are the field names in the that table?

Yes, you would need to put a combo box on your form, and have as the record source for that combo box a query from the Towing Companies table, using the Company ID and the Company Name.

Easier still, in Form Design view, from the Design Tab of Form Design Tools, in the Tools Group, click on Add Existing Fields, and simply drag the Towing Company Field onto your form. This should add a combo box with the appropriate data behind it (If your table is set up properly).
