Read records only when clicked

I have tables that are acquiring much data. I also have included a table with pictures. Over the last year the Main form that is opened takes close to 5 minutes at times. I would like have Access not load all the subforms, especially the pictures, unless they are needed--possibly by clicking a button somewhere
The other subforms are all contained in a single tab control.

You could consider setting the name of the form in the SubForm controls to be empty in either the design or maybe even in the FormOpen() event procedure of your main form, and setting them up properly only when triggered.
