I believe databases are compiled automatically when they are saved, but an explicit compilation is achieved from the VBA IDE by selecting Tools | Compile {Project} where {Project} is the name of your project.
Only one question is allowed per thread so if you want to ask about 'Networking' it, then I suggest you start a new thread for that. You will need to form the question so that it makes sense though. If I saw a question as you have it here I would delete it immediately.
