Formula to figure hourly pay

At my job, i get paid a percentage of fares as a taxi driver. i keep a spreadsheet of total mount made and hours worked. i currently have a formula to figure out hourly wage from that. But many times i work over 40 hours a week and would like a formula that figures out an hourly wage if the first 40 hours were paid regular wage and anything over 40 was paid the standard time and a half(1.5) . An example is: one week i made 657.65 and worked 51.75 hours. The hourly is $12.71 but would like to figure out what wage would be if overtime(time and a half) were paid on 11.75 hours. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

If you put the money earned in column A, and the hours worked in column B, then use the following formula in column C :

=IF($B1=0,0,$A1/IF(B1<=40,$B1,40+($B1-40)*1.5))

You can drag this formula down the column against any rows you have figures for.
