Cannot Fix field Source on Form for Different Tables

I have 6 tables in MS Access 2010, each with varying number of fields and I have specified a relationship between the tables.
I started designing a single paged form to hold all the fields in my tables by dragging the fields from the tables onto the form.
I had successfully added fields from 2 tables to the form. In the middle of adding fields from the third table to the form, I noticed that all the fields on the form had suddenly lost their source property and I cannot figure out how to fix this.
I need some help and advice on what to do.
    Thanks

Did you go back in to the form's data source property to tinker with the query that pulls all of these tables together? I'm wondering if you fat-fingered something and accidentally removed the query or the tables that these fields were bound to.

Even if you quickly corrected it, that might have caused this problem. I'm kinda shooting in the dark here, but I think it was something like that because you should be able to do just what you are trying to do, no problem.

As an aside, what are you trying to accomplish? Is this a way of essentially giving you access to all the possible data items when you want to make some other, new form? Is this to be something like a reference for you? I ask because there are some better ways to get at that.

      Hello Jim,
thanks for this response, really appreciated.
I tried to recreate the query to pull all the fields together but when I try to open the form, it says there are too many items.
I am doing this form for a monthly summary report from facilities in our program and basically I am trying to reproduce the structure and look of the paper form in Access. This form holds so many data fields in different sections. Each variable on the form has 7 data fields. So I created different tables each representing one section of the form.
I really am interested in learning better ways to do this.
      Thanks
