I am looking for some help on creating 3 different append queries.
I have enclosed a copy of my tables so it is easier for you to see what it is I have.
As you will see I have a location table [LocT] a sub location table [locSubT] and second sub location table [LocSub2ndT] and an Item Table [LocItemT]
Each record in every table is mutually exclusive. In a sense if you picture big apartment buildings, every item in each building is detailed into the tables. There might be 145 toilets total but each toilet has it's own ID number spread into 4 building and over hundreds of units
So here is where I need help:
As time pass chances are I will have to add a new sub location to a location or I might have to add an Item to a sub location and also to a 2ndSub location.
Given that each record is mutually exclusive to the next I am having a bit of difficulty expressing the append query if for example I want to add a sub location to each location, or maybe just to a few or even maybe just one depending on the [type] of the units.
does anyone understand what I mean?
I would like to create a pop up form that would pop up when I need to add a new sub location to a location either to one location or every single one of them or by parameter. The same thing would apply if I wanted to add an item to a sub-location or 2ndsublocation.
