How to get the average in two fields?

I’ve been searching the web and can’t find a straight answer.

If I was to get an average of two fields in access how would I do it? I would think something like this

    Avg([3MRank]),([3MRank])
    or
    Avg([3MRank]) and ([3MRank])
    or
    =Avg([3MRank]) + ([3MRank])

Could someone please just show me how I would do this?

    Thanks

The Avg function that you are trying to use is supposed to be for an individual field ie your form has a field called Price and you want the average of all the Prices in the table. So if it is only only field you are trying to get the average of your should be able to do...

    =Avg([3MRank])

Or if it is two seperate fields you could do...

    = ([3MRank] + [2MRank])/2
