    Run-Time Error 2465 with Access 2000 after a compress

I have as client database (Access 2000) that runs fine, but every time I either do a Repair/Compress, Import it into a new blank database or make any vba code changes to it I get a Run-time error 2465 pointing to one of my controls.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

Is it always the same control? Can you create a new control and then delete the old one and still get the same error?

Different Controls, Even Con trols ghat do not exist (could have been old ones that have been deleted)

Sounds like some sort of corruption. What OS are you running under? Try a /decompile: http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/decompile.htm

          I've already:

          1. decompiled
          2. compressed/repaired
          3. copied to a new/blank .MDB file

          still got errors.

Darn...what OS are you running under? Is your OS and Access fully patched?

Windows 7 Pro on laptop computer,
remote desktop into a Windows 2008 server,
              loading Windows XP operating system.

Everything should be patched to the max.

I've been working with computers since 1964 and this one really has me stumped.

Thanks for your input and help.

Can you duplicate the issue in another environment? It might tell you something.

I just got a new PC for Christmas, running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and I found that my Access 2003 databases were no longer working as expected. (Whole range of silly problems)

Reverting back to my old PC with XP, no problem, so it could be an issue with Access 2000 and Windows 7
