How to prevent my form from a deadlock situation?

    Well, i have a Ms-Access 2007 form which has 4 fields.
I have explicitly checked for the form validation on a button click event. The same button also calls a Macro to save the form and open a new form.

Now, the problem is that i need to call the same validations on the SUB "Form_BeforeUpd ate" as well. (This is because I don't want the form values to be saved during undesired form close event without the data being validated.)

This makes the validation routine to be called twice as the validation will save the FORM data during its end because it has to open a new form.

I hope most of you have been through this deadlocked situation. Please help me out if any one has figured a way out.

OR, a simple way out would be find all ways where a Form data can be save. And not allow the form to save the data except on the explicit command given via. a button click.

I don't want my form to save data during any accidental or intentional form/access program/ (or even power failure) close event.
