Search for a specific record in a report in Access 2007/2010

Please I want to know i how i can search for a specific record in a report and print that record without using the arrows at the bottom. Like show a dialog or use an input box to search through the data for the input string or number.

    Please help.

    hello :D

what i might suggest is build a seperate report, with in your query for the report set a criteria for the recrod you want. so you can narrow down your results.

for example create a new report. for the data choose the table that has the record you need. Then choose what ever columns you need such as date, record number ect...then in the critera of the record number or what ever the column is called put something like [Enter A Record Number]. Then create your report with txt boxes to display your information. Then run it a pop up box should ask you to Enter A Record Number then type in the number you want to find and you should pull just that record along with what ever other information you need.

An easier way might be to make a copy of the report you are already using, rename it, then set the Critera like I said above and run that report.
