ACCESS 2007 Query "Copied records will not display

I have a query with this statement: Like [Forms]![CA0000 Report Query Menu]![Select Parent Company country of registration or domicile] & "*"
I add records using my form and all is well.
If I copy a record using the Access ‘right click’ ‘copy’ and ‘paste’ the query will not find the new record. I think this has to do with blanks nulls and no string length. However, shouldn’t a copy be an identical copy?
    New user, forgive me.

Using a form field in a query is "tricky". Looks like the value of the form field has been dropped by your copy/paste action.
Personally I try to avoid to use form fields, as a rename of a form will ruin my query. So I often use stringing to construct the needed query or a global variable and a function to retrieve that in a query.

I would also advise you to shorten your names, drop the spaces and use prefixes to indicate the object type like "frmCA0000Repor tQueryMenu" and "qrySelectParen tCompany".
