How to change the format of text in a report?

So i have a report that will be seen by several customer around the world. I have done some research on ways to change some of the financial figures to show the correct currency. There are two fields on the report that I would like the correct currency symbol to be displayed. So fore example when creating the report for my Japanease customers i will be using Yen. So i opened up the report in design view and went to the properties box for the 2 desired fields. In the format box i typed ¥#,### so the format will show up as Yen.

So here is the weird part. One of the fields, we will call it field A the Correcy format is applied. However, the second field (field B) it still shows up using a USD ($) currency format. I am wondering why this would happen and how do i fix this?

Let me give one more piece of information about field B. The report is being generated from a query and in that query the field B is an expression. The expression is
    IIf([Credit]<[Total Std Cost],[Total Std Cost],[Credit])

It basically is taking the lowest of the two values in the previous query. Now i have checked the formats for all of these fields and they all read as the correct currency format (¥#,###). However it just seems like once this IIf statement is ran, it changes the currency to USD ($) format. Is there an easy fix for this?

    Kent,

What you have to look at first is what is Credit and Total Std Cost displaying? If they are currency in USD that is why you are getting a USD result. You need to either change those fields to give the currency you are looking for or you might want to look at creating another query that pulls some of the information from this original one minus this field B and create a new field to calculate the currency difference.
