Sage Instant Accounts to look up Access.

I need to get Sage Instant Accounts to look up data in an access table. Is this possible?

Invoices are entered manually, user puts in the product code and the description (held in sage) is auto filled. User would like to manually enter order number (from ms access system) and then wants sage to look up the order details from the access table.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Solution/

Unfortunately I don't have any idea about such integration but why would you need this when you can create the order directly in Sage? Can't Sage do what you require?

Can you please state when you need to have the orders first created in Access?

    Regards,

Ah yes very helpful! No, Sage cannot do all the other things that our ordering system does - that is a very complex bespoke system. But I need to use sage for the accounting side of things. Hence my question.

I would like sage to look up values in our other system - in order to complete details in the order. I know I can export data from the other system to csv and sage can read that. I just wondered if there is a more interactive method available to me. I know MS Access can read the sage tables - can it be done the other way round?

      Thanks

        ?

I know but strongly believe in discussion and its benefits. One advantage is that your post is now clearer! For instance "complex" makes me think that you need Access because "Instant Accounts" supports only up to two users.

Back to the issue, I don't have sage at the moment to try and see but will get access to it next week as my friend uses it in his department ("50 Accounts" - think it is similar to "Instant Accounts").
