How do I design a report to fit a fixed or formated form?

The form is a 8.5 x 11 sheet in portrait orientation. The formated forms (there are four per page) are 3.5 x 5.5; two on are top, and two are on the bottom of the page.

I need each 3.5 x 5.5 card to report data from one field that changes per form. For instance, the first form on the sheet will compile data that fits criteria for the "position" field; the second form next to it will fill in the data for the next "position" field, etc.

I can do it with the reports all in line vertically. However, I need the print layout to got from the top level, left to the right, then down to the left to the right on the second level.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I have read your post a few times, and im a bit confused. You switch back and forth from talking about reports to talking about forms. I think it would help alot if you could post a screenshot of what you have, and what you would like it to look like.

What I need is to learn how to place the results of my database in any location on a sheet of paper, i.e., filling in pre-formatted form.

I am sure there's a way to do it, but I need just a hint or two and I will go from there.

If you are in a report, you can open Page setup, select columns=2 and then at the bottom of the page setup you can set the direction of the output. (See screenshot, sorry the labels are in danish).

Im not sure thats what your looking for, but thats the best I can come up with from your question.
