I secured a database using the Security Wizard and left the default admin login information generated by Access in place(it was my Windows login ID). But when I try to access the database from the same computer 30 seconds later, I am only getting the user group functions and no admin functions. How do you log in as an admin onto a database?

How do you get to the screen where it asks you for a password? The database never prompts me to enter a password when I open itComment

It should happen automatically if either :- There are more than one available accounts to choose from.
- The only account available has a non-blank password.
I think this means you are already signed in as Admin and that your problem is probably elsewhere.Comment

Apparently, the original file itself was secured, but you couldn't gain admin access to it. There was a copy of the database automatically created by the wizard on the desktop; and if you clicked on that file, the database prompted you for a username and passwordComment
