logging as administrator into a secured database

I secured a database using the Security Wizard and left the default admin login information generated by Access in place(it was my Windows login ID). But when I try to access the database from the same computer 30 seconds later, I am only getting the user group functions and no admin functions. How do you log in as an admin onto a database?

I think the Default is UserName = Admin, Password is blank.

How do you get to the screen where it asks you for a password? The database never prompts me to enter a password when I open it

It should happen automatically if either :
        1. There are more than one available accounts to choose from.
        2. The only account available has a non-blank password.

I think this means you are already signed in as Admin and that your problem is probably elsewhere.

I honestly cannot understand how the Database can be 'Secured' without a UserName/Password Login.

There may be scope for other methods of security, but essentially if no account or password is entered then it would not be described as 'Secured'.

Apparently, the original file itself was secured, but you couldn't gain admin access to it. There was a copy of the database automatically created by the wizard on the desktop; and if you clicked on that file, the database prompted you for a username and password
