can I have a Combo Box without the arrow?

I want my form to LOOK cool. Can I have a Combo Box without the arrow? Or at lease the features of a Combo Box with VBA code to perform the same actions?
I want the field to auto fill like a combo box and if needed to pull up a list.
I could put code in OnUpdate for auto fill and OnClick for a list. What code should I use?

Short answer is no - the down-arrow of the combo control is not optional and cannot be made invisible. Why spend time re-developing what works perfectly well already with something that does not fit current Windows conventions?

the Appearance is everything, and this will look like what you want.....

Stack 1 text box (Visible = Yes) and one combo box (Visible = no) both boxes with same size and positions, use script onenter of textbox to make the combobox.visibl e = true/Yes, set focus to combobox and textbox.visible to false/No.
You can also set the combo box to auto expand (using script at this point and have it fill with an updated row source ("combobox.rows ource =" per the event)

onexit event of combobox Reset Visible of textbox to Yes/True set focus to textbox and hide combobox.visibl e = false.
this should get the job done in a manner that you want....
