1. when I export a query, can I specify just for column1 to be exported and not the other columns

2. can I specify some text to be added to top of the output file? something like this:

t matrices
a matrix=mf15 grp1 0 Group1 Auto Demand Red factor

3. I see a way to create a visual basic file that opensa query, outputs to text and closes the query for a bunch of queries in sequence. Can I automate creation of multiple queries, by slightly changing the criteria so that I can make use of the VBA code to automate creating and exporting the queries? Or if in SQL, can I automate the process to - open a single query, export to text, edit the criteria, export to text, and repeat?

I am really new to Access/VBA, so would really appreciate your help and patience!

1. Yes. You can use an Import/Export Specification to control that.
2. There is an option to include column headers. As such, you can include a single line, but only if you design your query to match. Not too much scope here, but some if you're clever.
3. You can automate exporting objects in sequence. Your question is too vague for me to be more specific.
