Password protection

Hi

I word in a company where we use access.
I have lots of access db here i'd like to protect with a password so my coworkers may use just the queries and macros that i allow them.
They may not alter or read the other ones nor see how they r made and what they do.
In few words.
They should just be able to run some queries or macros (not seeing the structure) and not see the rest.

In Access 2010, at least, you can go to File->Manage Users and Permissions, and it allows you to change all these things for every database object. What version of Access are you using?

There are a few ways you can do this depending on which one might fit your needs the best. When you are saying you want users to be able to run some queries or macros do you mean that they can get to the back end and run them or you are setting them up to run automatically if a user does something on a form?

I would set them to run from a front end persepective this way no one ever needs to get to the back end.

As esperance said you could do the permissions and set up certain users to only have access. Another way to do this is you can convert the DB into an .MDE file format. This will lock up all of your forms and make it so many things are not accessable if someone goes to the back end.
