How to find bookings per weekday

This is my first time using access and I have looked everywhere to try to figure this out... please help!

I have a database with hotel bookings for 30 rooms, with their arrival and departure dates for one month. I want to be able to find the total number of bookings per room for each weekday. ie)how many times a certain room was used on Mondays during the month.

Easiest approach will be to have a tblDates filled with the dates you want to count and construct a query with a "between" JOIN between the start and end date of the booking.

Such a "Date" table can be filled from code.
