    Form Problem

So I have 2 tables in my project, one is the patient table (Patient ID is the primary key) with their demographics info and the other is claim table (Claim ID) with the claims linking to each patient.

I have a 1 to many relationship with Patient and Claims table and when I create a form having info from these 2 tables seem to cause problem.

So my patient ID field is automatically a dropdown list where all the numbers are lined up but when I try to click on one of them I saw that the subform info linked to ID that i picked will change but the Name and address fields from my patient table will not change.

Can someone help me with it?

If the info in the sub form changes then i don't understand why the info in the parent form is not changed when an ID is selected.

Ok first check to see if the Name and address fields are bound to the right table if not select the correct field source from the table.

    Else try this:
Create a combo box follow the wizard (make sure "CONTROL WIZRAD" button is enabled) and placed on the parent form.

On the pop up window select the third option " IFind the record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box"

Click next and select the ID.
The rest should be easy follow the steps.
Once done Save and try select the Id from the new combo you created and see if it works..

There's another problem now, it looks like the combo box that I created is all by its own other than it can help me pull up info. When i add in an 'Add new patient' the patient ID field is not editable, so there will always be a # in the patient ID box.
It's the same for adding buttons like go to next record/previous record, everything changes but the patient ID won't change. What's the problem now?

The combobox you created is a "goto" box, its not bound to the other data. Thats why its not updating with the other information. You can still have a regular textbox in your form, showing the patient ID.
