    Connect database to .ldb file

How can I connect an access database to a .ldb file? Without this connection I cannot perform queries as access does not allow me to add tables to my query design. In addition all my previous queries have an exclamation mark (!) beside it, most likely due to this lack of connection?

The .LDB file is automatically managed and stores locking information. I have no idea why you would think you need to connect to it ever.

NeoPa is correct, of course! Occasionally Access will close and leave the .ldb file intact, and it will have to be deleted before you can open the database again, which usually requires rebooting your machine, but you'd never need to "connect" your database to it.
