VBA code that used to work, no longer works

    Access 2000- I used a statement in a module or just the code behind a button example me.[field] = "String" or me.[field] = 20

When I attempted to use this format in acces 2007, it wouldn't paste the data or even yield an error message. Is there a new syntax that I'm not aware of or has this functionality gone away? I tried looking for an equivalent in a macro but didn't find one.

    Hi Dave. Welcome to Bytes!

Your question is a little obscure. I suspect it may be that your code is simply not enabled, but you don't indicate if other code works. Code often gets disabled when moving to Access 2007.

If that isn't the case, then we'd probably need a bit more info from you to help us understand the context and maybe come up with a solution.

To repeat NeoPa's question, does other code run? Code does not run in 2007 unless your database resides in a folder that has been declared a “trusted” location.

      To trust your folder, click:
      1. Office Button (top left)
      2. Access Options (bottom of dialog)
      3. Trust Center (left)
      4. Trust Center Settings (button)
      5. Trusted Locations (left)
      6. Add new location (button)

Thanks for getting the slack there Linq. I'd have included that helpful info if I'd had it. Unfortunately I know little about 2007 working.
