I have an older access application that I moved to v2007. I added two fields to a form and the underlying table. the application is set up as a front end/backend (data). When I open the form the next/previous first/last buttons will work. Once I type something in the search box on the navigation bar, not only does the search not work, thereafter the navigation buttons no longer work either. I have tried re-setting all the properties and re-checking all other settings. I don't know where to look next or how to debug.
